Where do you provide care?

We come to your home in Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Delta, Surrey and New Westminster. We also see clients in clinic on Wednesdays 11:30am–5pm, and the last Monday of the month, at Nightingale Medical Supplies, 785 W 16th Ave, Vancouver. Hospital visits are available too ($125 plus parking).

Who do you care for?

People of all ages, especially active individuals, people with diabetes, and those with cognitive concerns.

Should I see a foot care nurse, a podiatrist or an esthetician?

A foot care nurse handles routine medical foot care at home, including thick nails, calluses, corns, ingrown nail maintenance and diabetic foot care. A podiatrist is a doctor who specializes in the foot and ankle; they diagnose and treat foot conditions and can do surgery. An esthetician provides cosmetic pedicures for healthy feet. Who provides the care?

Your care is provided by a registered nurse with specialized foot care training or by our foot care specialist. See the team on our home page.

How often should I have foot care?

Every 6–8 weeks. Follow-up visits more than 8 weeks apart are billed at the initial visit fee.

Is there tax, is it a medical expense, and do I need a deposit?

All services are tax exempt, and foot care can be claimed as a medical expense on your taxes. Treatments over $100 need a 50% deposit.

Do you accept Veterans Affairs coverage?

Yes. With a valid Veterans Affairs K number your foot care is partly covered, and you pay the remainder. Please give us your number when booking so we can get pre-approval.

Can you see two people at once?

Yes. Couples foot care is for two people at the same address on the same day, up to 45 minutes each.

Do you work with people who have dementia or other cognitive concerns?

Yes. This is one of our specialties. We take the time needed to keep your loved one calm and comfortable.

I have an ingrown toenail. Can you help without surgery?

Often, yes. We're a certified Onyfix provider. Onyfix is painless, needs no needles or recovery time, and is safe for children and people with diabetes. Learn how it works.

Do you remove gel or acrylic polish?

No. We can remove and reapply regular polish on toes as an add-on. Please supply your own polish.

What if I'm sick on the day of my appointment?

Please cancel and rebook if you have a fever, new cough, sneezing unrelated to allergies or a sore throat. Many of our clients have weakened immune systems.
